Marc: Hi! I’m Marc Angelo Sy and I’m an architect.
Vanessa: I’m Vanessa Sy, Marc’s sister. We own a printing company.

Do you guys remember the first time you stepped into a store of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®?
Vanessa: The first branch I visited was at Greenbelt 3, the very first one. Probably a over decade ago.
Marc: I actually discovered The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® through my sister, because she is a coffee addict.

What about The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® interested you?
Marc: The place is really nice and cozy, so it’s nice to stay here. And of course, White Chocolate Dream forever!

For you, what separates The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® from the rest?
Vanessa: I’ve always loved your Americano. And your ice. I know that sounds a bit weird, but I really love munching on your ice, it just melts in your mouth.
Marc: The personalized service. Ask the Baristas; when we come, they know our orders and even make sure Vanessa has ice!

You’ve been going to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® all these years, what has you coming back and choosing it?
Marc: It’s a lot of things. First of all, the White Chocolate Dream and the Chai Tea Latte. And your Team Members—they are super friendly, helpful, and very kind. When I ask them “what’s a good flavor to try?” They always have great suggestions. It’s been a great way to get to know them!
Vanessa: The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® is just amazing. Your americano is the best, it has this taste that I really like, just right!
What have been your special memories at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®?
Marc: It was just my birthday last January 3 and they gave me a slice of Guiltless Chocolate Cake on the house. I’m not used to getting gifts so I’m very thankful for that.

How would each of you individually describe Your Coffee Bean Story in a sentence?
Vanessa:  I always step out of these doors happy. The team is a big factor as to why I love this place.
Marc: The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® is a part of me and I look for it even when I travel to other countries. Since Team Members are shuffled across different stores, it’s such a pleasant surprise to see someone we know in other stores we visit.

How will you Brew Your Best Year?
Marc: By focusing on growing our businesses. We hope that our printing business gets bigger and also for our events company to flourish. We’re also getting into the real estate game with a subdivision that has a commercial area. Hopefully we can have a store of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® there!
