Stories of Gratitude

Alpheca Jose

After her 48 hour doctor’s duty, she still has to attend webinars for new hospital procedures and protocol changing monthly since pandemic.
She deserves a coffee treat, my simple way of showing gratitude and support.
Let’s relax and chill before you go back to hospital duties, sis.
I hope I can give back the love you give everyday.

I hope more people show appreciation in the work that you do, the service that you give and the love that you show.

We are all thankful to Doc Jose for all the lives she saved and the critical services she has been extending not only to our family but to the country and whole world.

I am personally honored to give you a glimpse of this admirable lady’s life so you can get to know her just a bit more.

Doc Alphe, a registered Pharmacist from UST, pursued medicine in the Ospital ng Maynila.
From her days as clerk and intern, her training from consultants was to be solution oriented despite the very limited resources of a public hospital. She was trained to produce however magically whatever is needed to get all hospital tasks done. Imagine the ingenuity she has to exercise every moment of every duty.
You can say there is miracle everyday.

As a Doctor-to-the-barrio in the Mindanao, with military men making sure no bomb will explode and catch her and military trucks as her service and ambulance, not only ingenuity is mustered every day but formidable spirit has to rise up every dawn.

During her time serving Muslim and Christians alike, she had to learn the language of the people while simultaneously learning better rural systems by taking up masters in the Developmental Academy of the Philippines. By bringing clean drinking water to the far-off areas through the Biosand Water filter she was awarded Silver medal for best Action Plan and Project.

She braved and extended help to several crisis stricken communities from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao during the siege, storm surges, floods, volcanic eruptions and more.
Let us be moved to action, as she together with the rest of the fronliners continue to inspire us with her health advocacy, bringing true health and true wealth to love life and be a blessing to our families, friends and each of our neighbors.
This pandemic is tough but our frontliners and teamwork is tougher.

Let us appreciate our frontliners for saving lives and show these heroes the kindness and love that they have been giving all these time.
