For the past 4 years, coffee has been my best friend for my journey as an aspiring CPA. Ask any Accountancy student (or any college student for that matter) about coffee, and they’ll tell you that this beverage is a necessity. Now that I’ve reached my last year in college (hopefully), I would like to say thank you to this wonderful thing called coffee. Without it, I wouldn’t have survived sleepless nights studying for our major (and minor) exams and I also would have slept through these exams. The year 2014 is coming to an end. This has been a rough year for me and I am now gearing up for my best year yet, 2015. Next year, I will be graduating from college and I will also be taking the board exams. I’m determined to make 2015 my best year yet and I know that CBTL will be taking this journey with me.

Here is my coffee story:

I’ve searched high and low for the best coffee in town, but no coffee mix or drink has yet lived up to my personal favorite, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s White Chocolate Dream Ice Blended drink. I’m actually a self-proclaimed coffee snob. I know for a fact that I’ve tried every single drink in other coffee shops out there while I’m in search for my “holy grail” drink and not a single blend has lived up to my favorites in this shop. For a few years now, the friendly baristas in The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has served me my weapons and armor against all the grueling requirements given to me by my professors. I’ve spent countless hours in the shop to get my studying done. My best friends and I used to get separate tables whenever we’re studying and not once, did our ate-and-kuya baristas complain that we were cramping the shop. Instead, they supported us and cheered us on. I have received dozens of encouraging messages from the barista. Whenever I needed cheering up, I just come by the shop and my spirits immediately get uplifted. I’ve never felt more at home in The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf compared to other coffee shops I’ve tried.
I’m just a few months away from reaching my dream of becoming a Certified Public Accountant and I know that I will always be grateful for this coffee shop for being a part of me now. It’s not just a drink for me anymore; it has become a part of my lifestyle. A lifestyle that I’ve come to know for the past few years and has helped me to reach my dreams.
